Hi,Im looking for some help! Ive been to linksys, and bell south and HP in search of my answers to my questions. Im trying to hook up a wireless router, and a Westell Modem and Windows vista! Ive ran all the disks. I can connect to the internet using a dsl connection, but when I try to run it on the linksys, I get an error message telling me that It cannot obtain IP from Bellsouth. When Ive contacted all the help supports, they are just telling me to contact the other, and Im not getting anywhere very fast. My son is anxious to use his new computer and hes driving me insane! Any advice?
Thanks, a Blonde mom in desperate need of HELP! :cry
What is your Westell model number?
Many of the westell modems are combo modem Router.
If it is a modem/router that Linksys has to be install as decribed here:

TY for the reply....My Westell modem is a A-90-210030-04 thats what it says on the bottom of the modem, ive had this modem since 2002!!
Your device is a modem only, so you have to use the Linksys as a regular Router.
May be it is a PPPOE Password and Id issue.
