Working on a friend's setup- they have a wireless setup in their house.
The problem is that a computer running XP can find the network, but not connect to it.
It is set to infrastructure mode, is a linksys 2.4 ghz card, and a D-Link Access Point.
I believe the source of the trouble is that I don't know how to automatically set the card to automatically get the WEP.
Two other computers in the house run 98 and 2000 respectively and are setup to do so, and I have no idea how to do this in XP (ill admit, im behind the times and need to learn XP)
Any help would be appreciated.
Also-
I am interested in getting my own wireless networking setup and am looking for suggestions on a PCI card and access point. Range is the most important quality, second being speed.
Thanks
