how far could i overclock a p4 2.8 ghz, i read somewhere else you need good cooling, but i dont wanna spemd the $ on a liquid cooling system, and i dont want to shorten the life of my cpu, so i jus want to slightly over clock my cpu not a whole lot maybe just a hair over 3 ne one got any thoughts?

to do that you'll still need to get a good heatsink, something like the ThermalRight SLK-800U orso.
please keep in mind that the P4's after they reach 3Ghz get really HOT so good cooling is of the essence.
also, overclocking always shortens the life of your processor since you're running it out of spec.

thanx im still undecided on the whole overclocking thing, but i might jus mess around with it on my old computer to get the feel of it
