Have a look here (http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/) to see if your port is open or closed.

If it says closed.. it's not lying..

My computer had the same problem but one day suddenly it worked.. see if you have any other problems with your internet.
Try to use a different port for flatcast and forward that one.

What router do you have?

And you say some people can listen to your stream? maybe there is a problem with the people that can't listen to your stream.

Actually nice you mention this program because i've been looking for some broadcasting program. I'm gonna download it and try and use it myself.. if I find out more about the program maybe I can help you better.

Can't help ya much further (maybe later), I'm not that Geeky.. :major
Cheers,
Marco

Have you got a static IP on your Vista computer?

Are these (http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/WRT54GSv4/Flatcast.htm) the instructions you followed to forward your ports?

it seems like all my ports are closed wenever i test a port even port 80 they all say closed whats the problem please
All your ports are supposed to be closed, it's for security reasons.

Ok, if you are really troubled.. try rebooting your router to the default settings. Then forward the port again, that way you will be sure there is no problem in the router anymore.

When you've done that test the port again (here (http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/)).

If things still don't work, there is this program called Network Magic (http://www.networkmagic.com/). (don't know if it can help with port forwarding, but it manages your internet settings.)
To search the support forum for this program go here (http://www.networkmagic.com/forums/search.php?). You can search for "port forward" or whatever..

Have a look through all your internet and network settings and make sure they're all correct.

Hope you are getting closer to the solution.

Cheers,
Marco

Please go to start>network>networkand sharing centre>managenetwork connections.

Click on the entry internet internet protocol version 4 and choose properties

post a screenshot of your two boxes, like mine (don't set them, my settings are wrong for you)

Looking again at the computer,
surely the default gateway should be 192.168.2.1, not

192.168.1.1? (edited)

Isn't that the control page for the router, not the gateway?

pedro702lv
04-30-08, 17:44
the 1.1 is the defliut gatway for my linsy router should i change it to 2.1

If you look carefully at the Linksys status picture in your first pic in post#18 it clearly says

192.168.2.1, not 192.168.1.1

It's midnight here so I'm logging off, but I'm pretty sure it's a settings issue and your Linksys is not broken.

Reset your pc to automatic
Open a command prompt and use IPconfig /all to find the varous cofigurations IPs. then go back to fixed and set the IPs to the ones you had before.
