View Full Version : new web host
ok...I'm considering ditching my free geocities account for a bonified domain. This may be lame, but I can sign up for Geocities Pro (http://geocities.yahoo.com/ps/learn3/HowItWorks4_Pro.html) and get everything I would need (no setup fee, 8.95 a month, free domain name sign up, email accounts, etc). However, I don't know anyone who uses the non-free Geocities service, so I don't know how good it is. If I do sign up for it, how would I go about doing advertising similiar to the advertising here @ MG (that way I can at least get some of my money back)?
So basically I'm looking for advice and/or ideas.
Ipowerweb.com

I recommend them highly and they are an add on this site
thank you lamien. I think i visited their site a while back. looked like a good deal. I'll check it out a little more.
I'm still interested on doing maybe a 1 ad deal similiar to whats in place here at MG, but don't know where to go to do it. Advice is welcome. :)
What you planning to use the site for? It your current homepage?
oh and if you dont mind paying in £ sterling www.123-reg.co.uk is a good domain name provider. but i hear that IPoweb sell their own domains with hosting, which is fair enough
They do and its fere domai nname if you tkae a 12 motn hplan or more.
My accoutn was working with 24 hours so ya not bad. also Domain name was wokring within 36
since I really don't have anything to offer, it will just take over for my geocities account. and yes, I do mind paying in £ ('cause all I have are $), so I think I'll stick with something more local. :D
