Flying
My initial impressions soon went away after it was charged up and flying around the room - or rather ricocheting off the furniture. Helicopters are not easy to fly - and this is no exception. Weighing in at only 10 grams any slight draft (including that made by the Picoo Z itself) is enough to send it off on a little sorty of it's own - usually into a lamp or chair... but once mastered the Picoo Z really is an amazing piece of technology - no wonder it has picked up a world record

thats a china knock off. the real picco z's are rebranded as airhogs in the us as well as all outher silverlet products.

Theres a bunch of them out there and they fly very nice and are tons of fun. I high high recamend this http://toys.pricegrabber.com/r-c-robotics/m/76711206/ or this http://www.amazon.com/Air-Hogs-Twin-Thunder-Colors/dp/B00168H66G

As for the normal helis they got alot of styles out and they all fly great. I reacently bought this one http://www.target.com/Hogs-CHLD-Havoc-Apache-Green/dp/B001EMX3HA/sr=1-18/qid=1222956218/ref=sr_1_18/601-3557902-2881760?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Aair%20hogs&page=1 and i love it.

I've got the pico and its pretty crap to be honest after the initial gimmick wears off,you can only fly it one direction in a circle it gets old really fast :-D

I've also got the blade runner helicopter which is the same again boring after the initial gimmick and its practically impossible to get the damn thing to fly forward.

But theres hope I've also got the Esky Lama indoor helicopter which I can't recommend enough, amazing controllability and value for money.

Saying that your grandkids will probably have hours of fun with the simpler helicopters,I'm 28 :-D
