It's a gallery for an art store, with images that are of a suitable size for desktop backgrounds. There is a great variety of subjects covered, such as boats, space exploration, nature, and war.
You can browse by picking an artist out of the list, or just scrolling down and checking out each individual's work.
My pick out of all the artists would have to be William S. Phillips, whose work centres around wartime aviation:
