I have a private journal on aol. As you know aol is closing out their journal/blogging program. I have installed flock but am having trouble moving my journal from aol to another program and time is running out for me to get this done. Several times I have printed out and tried to follow the directions from aol on how to do this. At one point was told that I had to make my journal public to transfer but when I started to do that was told my current writings to the journal would be permanetly lost which is what I am attempting to prevent in the first place. Can anyone help?
Hi
Think my first question would have to be what blogging service are you transfering your AOL Journal too? as that blogging service should have an FAQ on how to transfer from another blog.
Did quick search as I dont use anything AOL, for some info for you, this blog may be of interest and has some guides on transfers http://anti-aol.livejournal.com/ (while I know some dont like AOL, the title of this blog was not my intention to find or say I hate AOL, I dont, I just dont use them as ISP or any of their products as a personal pref )

Thanks for your help. I appreciate and think I have the problem solved. Had to go through alot of steps to do it and even had to use a friend with another computer to get it but have accomplished what I needed to do.
Hi Snippy
Glad you have this sorted, yes when I read the steps it looked like you had to jump through hoops to migrate to another blog service, I am suprised AOL has dumped their blogging service as blogs are really taking off these days.

I was surprised also but aol is revamping a lot of their services and we are loosing some things about aol that I have always liked.
