View Full Version : Wireless headphones
Wanting some wireless headphones for the TV in the bedroom. They only need to be a 20 foot range and can be infrared or radio frequency. Obviously packs needs to come with transmitter, battery etc.
Looking for opinions on tried and tested product, not simple opinions or google results ;)
Nver knew I hang out with so many cable lovers :p
Interesting! I wonder if this means wireless headphones are THAT bad.....:confused
More likely it means none of us use them with our TVs... ;)
Quite possibly........none of you are married to someone who can survive on 4 hours of sleep per night ;)
:innocent
One many reasons to marry another gamer... ;)
Neither of us are gamers...he's just an insomniac :-D
Ah LOL In my marriage, I'm the insomniac.
Then you too should be looking for some of these headphones with me!!! ;)
I would like a cordless headset for playing Counterstrike, but have no experience with them.
Who needs wireless headphones when I have this...

The Guy gave me a game for my DS for Christmas. I think it means he understands me. :)
Sweet! I think if I gave my husband a cable that long I would wake in the morning and he would be tied in knots. I'm not kidding. He walked in to the bedroom the other night and totally tripped over the bed. I mean, how can you NOT see a super king size? Seriously :-D
It was really funny. I was almost asleep but it woke me and I just bust up laughing. Yes, I'm the all-sympathetic wifey :p
If The Guy tripped over our bed, I'd be crying from laughing so hard... And that cable is actually only a meter long. The picture is a bit deceiving.
If you find a good set of wireless earphones for the TV, I'd love to know about them. I want to give them to The Guy for is birthday. :)

Haha...that's funny...that's exactly why I want to buy them. This is where we find they have the same birthday too LOL
Oh Mimsy it was so funny. He was trying to be so quiet coming in to the bedroom as he knew I had gone to bed. The harder he tries the funnier the outcome. Thankfully he is fantastic about laughing at himself, which is a good thing, since we are all usually in hysterics!
So far I am looking at these two pairs. I want radio frequency as the range is better, and he also plays Bass so would come in handy for that too.

I tend to swear by Sennheiser, but that's just me ;)
Birthday in April?
January.
Well I couldn't make my mind up between the two, so you have clinched it. They both have pros and cons, but as we don't have an electronic garage door near the bedroom interference and buzzing should be minimal if not non-existant.
As long as you get a good warranty on them, I honestly don't think it matters what brand you go with. I use a pair of Sony in-ear phones with my Sansa Clip (The Guy says it was Santa that put the earphones in my stocking), and I am constantly surprised at their high sound quality.
I live to make decisions difficult. :)

I really like the HS-1200! It is comfy even after hours of use and the best part of wireless is to use VOIP while walking around the house w/o having to stay infront of the pc ... furthermore this has x-fi, so i really enjoy my games with it ... you can see more of it here:

Nice selection, except I want it for the TV which doesn't have USB ;)
Here's an awesome price http://www.dakmart.com/product_info.php?products_id=9824 but I think someone got the last line wrong after the product description :-D

Don't know if you've settled on any Lisa, but I rate Sennheiser's - have a look at their range.
Also, you didn't specify a budget :)

I didn't exactly have a budget in mind, I just wanted quality. But then I got to watching him on the guitar and thought maybe I need one for the guitar and iPod and not just the TV. So it became a bigger question, so as he expressed a desire for one, I got him a salad shooter instead :-D He can listen to that for as long as he likes if it make me great salad ;)
So an update...I relented...as well as the salad shooter I got him the headphones. I went for this pair http://www.onecall.com/ProductDetails.aspx?id=87500 as the Circuit City Bankruptcy sale had a good discount.
He loves them. He's wandering around the house with them and figured out how to tap his MP3 in to them too (even though they were meant for TV and stereo). I've tried them too and it is a really cool sounds, with volume adjustment on the headphones themselves. Easily slide back in to the charging station, and turn off saving battery power as soon as you remove them from your head.
Great purchase folks!
