Cheapo I pod copy

I bought my son a copy Ipod which I cant seem to load videos , the music is fine, the videos show in the ipod file, but it will not upload to the ipods video playing section. I have tried changing it to various formats all show in files but non will play.I know cheap is not best but he is only 7 and I was weary buying an expensive one as he will probably loose it at school.
Any idea's welcome!!:confused

Not all video formats will directly play on iPods that can play video, you may need to convert them first and this is what I generally use as its quickish and easy http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/ *although this app is for real iPods its worth a try with yours, other than that we would need to know the formats this player plays and its make and model version.

"iPod copy" is a bit vague... what's the brand and model? Several brands come with their own media converter software, and you have to use that to get video onto the device. So what exactly are we dealing with here?

Unfornately it has no name bought it from Ebay via Hong Kong and I have converted the downloaded videos to all the major formats but non play................ I think its heading for the bin

i hope im not too late, but if you can find a converter, those Chinese "mp4" players usually use the AMV video format. if that doesnt work, you can try the MTV video format.
