Intel Pentium 4 @ 2.018 GHZ
60GB 7200 RPM hd
224mb ddr ram @ 233 mhz
ATI Radeon 9200 128 mb

i ran the benchmark called: Codecreatures Benchmark Pro

i have a max fps of 20 for like 1 second then its average around 12 fps. The minimum is 3 fps a couple of times

i suspect something weird goin on, anyone help please =D thanks in advance:)

First of all the 9200 is not that fast, you would have been better off with a 9000 Pro, and second, that benchmark is TOUGH! Even 9800 Pro's don't get more then 40FPS or so.

You really have to be careful when buying video cards newer does not always mean better. I'm running and Invidia Ge Force 2 Ti which will out perform quite a few of the Ge Force 4's and the same holds true for ATI cards.

Kilo. that card will only out preform g4 mx cards which are basicly g2 mx cards with a higher clock speed

Yea I have an old GF2 Ultra card here. It smoked when it first came out & I actually got better scores with it than some of the GF3 ti cards, but for todays apps it just doesn't cut it anymore.

Also watch the brand name of cards. Because all cards are not created equal. Just cause it says Nvidia or ATI doesn't mean it's the best one available.

Yes,
Asus FX5900 256MB for $500.

Don't be an idiot and base your upgrades by the benchmark scores.
How about you use your own judgment based on actual game play and reviews, versus what these people and Futuremark say.

Benchmarks should only be used to make sure your stuff is running like it should be running.
It's easy to get sucked into the benchmark miss info pile of shit by cverclocking your system and applying every tweak you can think of just to get a few more points in 3DMark.
