1. Avira
2. Alwil Avast
3. AVG 8.5
4. Microsoft Security Essentials Beta
5. PC Tools Anti-Virus
6. Comodo Internet Security

I've been using Avast recently. I've tried Avira, AVG, and Comodo. I don't have a real good reason for not using the others, just that Avast is my flavor for now. I used AVG for a long time until recently.

I've been using Avast for the longest time and, so far, it's been really excellent. Granted, it does have a tendency towards false positives, but I'd rather have it that way than missing things. It's a small quirk I can live with:-D

Don't want to discredit AVG 8.5 - but some spyware got on to a sys my daughter uses. MBAM and SAS (free and scan only) cleared up. One IIRC it did not pick up was CoolWebSearch. Not even after a scan. Not too nasty but...
Cheers..

Avira picked it up after the fact for me and then couldn't get rid of it. rolleyes
