Hello so I am trying to setup my router again to my cable modem. Before I would just put the cables in and I would easily be able to access the internet from there. Now After I insert the cables and try to access the internet nothing happens. I have also reset the router to factory defaults and nothing changed.
The router that I am using is BEFW11S4 ver 4
My operating system is xp
Cable modem is motorola (I can check the model if needed)
So anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong here?

you might want to also reset the modem, using the same method as the router, there should be a small hole somewhere on the rear of the modem, with a button inside. use a toothpick or paperclip to reset it. Then you may have to reset your internet connection settings on your computer. if you need more help for this, let us know what operating system you are using.
Here is the Linksys support website. You can choose your model version number and there should be a PDF that will show you how to connect.

Hope that this helps you out a little bit.

I also want to add that the ip address in the status part of the routers config is
0.0.0.0
