I have no doubt, but frankly if it was not, their antics were inappropriate for live television and a family audience. I only hope that they have kids someday so that they know what its like to care that some wigger scumbag loser is grabbing someones breast on national tv. Then again, these people are so out of touch, they probably would think its ok. Whateber.

Yeah, it's a family affair. It's the most widely watched sporting event of the year in the US.

On the news last night someone from the NFL stated that it's safe to say that MTV won't be producing any more halftime shows...

With these so called "Celebrities" these days its all about point scoring over your nearest rival..... Madonna, Christina and the other bimbo ( whos name escapes me ) kissing on MTV was another attempt to have the worlds media focused on them for a few days, hey if they are lacking in talent and need a publicity stunt good luck to them, sad but it makes me laugh at their antics.

This Janet/Justin one was another attempt at publicity... BTW is either of them promoting anything of late like a Book or New Song/Album?

As MA said not really the time or place for a stunt like that when the Superbowl is a Family Event!

2 Things....the SuperBowl is not the place....
have that fun elsewhere.
Children are at this family event and personally
I would like to keep it my responsibility to teach
them what love/lust/sexuality is about....Not some beer
company or the head of a network.

This type of fun and games belongs elsewhere....that's all
I'm not trying to crash the party....and by the by....
pretty pathetic effort planned or not. ;)

Well it means hes a rich white guy acting like a gangster tough guy type (remember when Marky Mark was like that?) scumbag means hes a dirty, self promoting piece of doo with no respect for who gets hurt along the way and loser, well that should be universal. The superbowl is watched by so many people, some for the commercials and its a family event because its a tradition and in many houses the only thing on. Also, we have a lot of networks we rely on to not show naked people and questionable content, so one would assume the superbowl is something that can be on while the family is around. There are channels for that. Im not blaming the network, of course, I assume they had no idea.

Viacomm owns both CBS and MTV. MTV will most likely be back in business with the NFL as soon as some money changes hands (sad to say but that is what passes for legitimate "business" now days). Unless of course the NFL is so upset they fire both CBS from covering pro football and MTV from covering the Superbowl halftime affairs. On a side note: CBS is considering reprimanding some of it's affiliates for not censoring the broadcast as well. What audacity! CBS should have placed the whole halftime show on delay due to the volatility of it's participants. I think CBS knew what MTV was up to from the get go myself.

Janet has an album coming out soon.

Ok...here is what I can't understand. In New England they have a post game celebration and riot in which one person was killed, but you don't hear anything on the news about it. But someone exposes 1 breast and the media goes nuts. If it was intentional it was in bad taste, but on a scale of 1 to 10 for important news stories I rate it a 1. I mean we are having soldiers killed each day in Iraq, and all anyone wants to talk about is Janet's boob. Hell, for all this reaction she should have exposed both breasts. Do you ever wonder if the media is redirecting our attentions so we don't tink about the poor economy, a quagmire in Iraq, high unemployment, homelessness, or a lopsided caste system in the U.S.

Is it true that Janet had a tassel on the uncovered breast?
If that is the case then you know it was staged.

Some of these reality shows are going to cause some of the kids to get sick or die, if they are not careful, such as the one about fear. What if your child tries some of that stuff?

It was not a tassel, but I think pierced and some kind of silver thingy on it. Definitely staged.....

For that ammount of attention i would expect all of her clothes to explode off, to uncover a huge slogan across her front saying "I hate america" and on her back saying "Long live Sadam!", and 300 naked men to march on with Hitlar tashes doing a Nazi salute.

People havnt got their priorities straight these days :/

"The decision to have a costume reveal at the end of my half-time show performance was made after final rehearsals," Jackson said in a statement broadcast by CNN.

"MTV was completely unaware of it.

"It was not my intention that it go as far as it did. I apologise to anyone offended, including the audience, MTV, CBS, and the NFL (National Football League)."

its called a nipple shield. I heard something on the radio about that.
they go for 25.00 to 36.00 dollars on the internet. I found the site but I dont think its appropiate to post it here.

And by the way what a horrible piece of crap show that is to be showing it at a time where families gather to watch television.

but then again what do you expect when The NFL contracts MTV to do the halftime show.

Frankly, I saw quite a few others that just were not appropriate, is there a reason my kids should watch tv only to see other kids say holy sh*t as if bleeping the sh*t part isnt obvious. Luckily, my steppunk turns 18 tommorow and my other son is heading on 14, so they are getting mature enough, but sadly, they will have to raise kids in this environment where people in power lack responsibility and morals, at least to the point of setting an example. I swear quite a bit, hell, I was busted for a felony as a kid, never saying I didnt download MP3's or never once had a cracked program, but I think an example should be set and try to do it. Maybe I am holier than thou in my attitude, but when we have such a large, varying audience, its easier to keep questionable content off of a site like that. I wish individual people, and make no mistake, Janet "slut" Jackson and Justin "wigger" Timerlake are soley responsible, both have money and should not have been doing what they were prior to this stunt. Who knows...

I have to say I think it's an awful lot of fuss over one breast. I don't understand why nudity is inappropriate, but the suggestive nature of their dancing isn't.

Why will the networks blank out a breast on an 11:00pm news show, but put professional wrestling on at 8:00pm?

I think it's becoming increasingly difficult to insulate our children from garbage these days, with the internet and 100+ channel television. (mine are grown, but I may have grandkids to worry about one day) and I think one naked breast is the least of any parents worries.

What would you rather have your kids see: Kate Winslet posing nude in Titanic, or a pixilated pair of breasts bouncing around on a show like Blind Date. The networks will cut one, but allow the other. I know which is the more disgusting.

Bah!

I think flanker hit the nail on the head. It's called desensitizing. Fairly soon this country's moral standards will have reached rock bottom, just as did Sodom and Gomorrah's. Are we to suffer their fate also?

incrementalism for what's to come?

I watched the older cartoons, ei tom & jerry and looney tunes. And not to mention mcgver (spelling?) mcgyver had almost NO sexual references, he was always a character based on Character (no pun intended) the good guy fighting evil.

fast forward to today, TV has changed DRASTICALLY! but it's happened very gradually.
