ok. listen.
SIGNATURES CANT HAVE TAGS IN THEM! THEY DONT WORK! THEY SHOW UP AS TAGS! for god sakes. fix them. live with the fact you cant have bold text and take them out, they are annoying to no end

what's a tag? How do I make sure I don't get one? Or do that by mistake.

a tag is an html tag such as <color> or <b>, nomally it would make the color different or make text bold. dont worry, unless you put one in, you wont have one.

Y'know the last people I saw on the net who were giving me a hard time about tags in my sig was on the RedVsBlue forums... and they're a bunch of... well, yeah, you get the picture!

Major Attitude, et al, have disabled the insertion of HTML tags in our signatures, for a very good reason...

Mind you, its not that I want tags. (I don't run the show anyway), I couldn't care less about not having tags....
But I am interested in why its a good thing to disable them... some security reason or something?

MA, CP, et al much prefer a lean, streamlined forum, with the minimum of clutter. When I started here, there were no avatars even. Huge colored print and pictures under every post make for a lot more scrolling and a lot less information on any given page.

When I started here, there were no avatars even.Ditto. Ahh...Those were the days. I remember being rather annoyed at the addition of the avatars. I liked the very clean look of the forum, but I thought the avatars made it too...what's the best word?...cartoonish? After a while I just kinda started liking it.

I've frequented other forums that allow html in sigs, and the presentation of some threads became almost unreadable. At some points, I would lose track of which post I was on because of an annoyingly long signature filled with pictures of idiotic crap that only the person who actually made the sig cared about.

I mean, I think it's cool if someone wants to bold some text, or throw a hyperlink in there, but I absolutely draw the line at images in sigs. Then again, I'm not really in the proper position to state an opinion that matters, so I'll shut my yap.

you a sponsor goldy? I don't even go into the none sponsor forums for that reason, I think I've got a whopping 5 posts at RVB, mostly in response to questions. Screw posting there, I'm only there for the movie links.

Thats exactly what I did after posting in the sponsors forum. Just about every thread in there gets locked, if they dont get flamed first! I think i got up to a whopping count of 10 before just saying "screw it" and no posting any more.

However I do hang around there somtimes for interesting bits like talking to the dude who did the music, which is kinda fun (the music rocks!). Other than that they are a bunch of t****rs

P.s. yes i am a super sponsor in fact... looking forward to that DVD coming my way! :D

its just like that annoying word association thread. I did a poll a while back and if I recall correctly just about everybody here was saying that freaking thread should die . yet it continues to linger and will not go away :D:D but the best solution for those of use who think is useless and dumb is to just ignore it. (which I do)
