Hey guys,
I've been doing some tweaking to my PC (WindowsXp SP2)... got rid of malware, used TweakXP to help out with the boot speed (etc) but now I'm trying to speed up internet.
I use a Motorola SB5100 SURFboard Cable Modem (ISP: Amnet / amnet.co.cr)
and do NOT have to use a router/NAT... unfortunately just yesterday I learned that the speed provided is barely 512kbps
I dowloaded Dr.Tcp to help out with the TcpReceive (RWIN) settings to maximize my connection's potential... I tried following http://www.dslreports.com suggestions and lowered the RWIN to 13800, but internet speed drastically decreased... Even though I should be able to set my MTU to 1500, apparently my ISP sets it to 1420...
Do you have any ideas on how to speed up internet? Or at least set the correct values for DrTcp? Thanks for you help!
