Printer Sharing Outside of my Network

Hi all,
I was wondering what the easiest and safest way to share my printer to an outside network. I have an internal network at my home (5 pcs) and an outside system needs access to one of my printers. Via IP or session name, I am assuming. The issue is that I only have a DSL with Comcast and no static IPs. What is the best solution, or workaround, to share my network printer (HP) to a medical team, without giving them access to my whole network. The printer currently is set with an internal IP for us internally to connect to...
I have a wireless 4 port router. Any help or ideas would be GREAT.

First problem I see is no static IP address for your cable connection.

If you had one you could configure your router to pass through that address to an internal network machine. For example your router would map 64.123.123.55 to 192.168.1.105. Then someone external to your network would be able to access your internal device.

But as you can see if your IP address changes then everything falls down.

Now just say that I did get a static IP, could someone externally from my network use the static IP (ie:100.100.100.100/my internal 192.0.0.0) to connect = add a printer by typing that IP static 100.100.100/192.0.0.0 internal? Or would it be better to have them use the static and then a unique printer share name ie: printerhp.100.100.100.100? Also if I am attaching the printer to that static IP does that cause any external security breaches? This is all with a static IP of course.. Thanks again Jim, and anyone that has any input..

I would go this route. Lets say you have a HP Laserjet 5mp. Establish the public IP to private IP link within the router. Have the machine that is going to print to the printer install the drivers for the Laserjet. That machine will have to be configured for TCP/IP printing. Then point it to the public IP address.

The steps:
Add a local Laserjet 5mp printer on LPT1. Do not let the OS search for drivers, do not allow it to print a test page and do not make it your default printer.

Once the printer has been configured on LPT1 right click and go to properties.

Go to the ports tab and configure a new port. Make the port TCP/IP and supply the IP address.

Configure it as LPR and make the queue name "print".
