View Full Version : picture clipping to jpeg/jpg

I am technologically illiterate, so I'm going to have to lay this out in extremely simple terms.

I can't enlarge photos in iPhoto so I have been trying to do it in the "Draw" program that comes with appleworks. After I enlarge the photo in Draw, I drag the photo to the desktop where it becomes a "Picture Clipping". Then, it won't let me drag it back into iPhoto, post it, etc...

So how in the world do I change this picture clipping back into a file that works with iPhoto (or is it impossible... maybe I've been messing with the darn thing for hours for nothing!) so that I can use it and not just open it up and look at it?

Thanks!

All you have to do is open it in Draw and save it as the file type you'd like.

Here's something similar from Yahoo.. I don't know if it was you that asked it or not..http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080423121355AAwxg2X

It says: How to convert a picture clipping (in Mac OSX 10.5) to a image?
Hello,

Anyone knows how to convert a picture clipping file (in Mac OSX 10.5) to a conventional image format (like jpeg, png..) ?

Thanks

and is answered (and chosen as best answer) If you have something saved to the clipboard, open Preview and press Command+N (or use the File menu and click "New from clipboard). Then save it in your preferred format.

I think the files you drag to the desktop end up being usable, but better off not doing it. you should be able to just save from draw to the extension you desire.
