I have finished shopping; bought a new mobile phone for my wife; Lego and a Dolls House for my wee daughter; DVD player and Vista for Dummies book for my parents :)

So what are all you generous people buying for your family/loved ones/friends this year?

Or have you not thought about Xmas shopping yet ;) Last minute rush?

    :D

Well the family have me, so what more do they need? I did treat myself to an Apple iPod Touch which I sending this post from.

But think I'm all sorted for chrimbo apart from miss santa in my stocking is what I asked for off the fat grey dood in red!

As for shopping, that's what personal shoppers are for ;)

I'm hoping Love will be enough for this year :) Bought two bottles of champagne just for Christmas day but haven't a clue what to get yet,my dad only likes cooking and gardening he has enough cooking stuff to open a restaurant I do all his gardening anyway,my mum's the only person I know that likes TV more than me which is her main hobby:D I cant afford a 42 inch plasma and she watches all the sci-fi DVD's I get anyway.

Getting my brothers presents is always fun some childish toy last year was RC choppers I'm not spending that much this time though, ones crashed it as a wright off and the other is too scared to fly it:D

Christmas already it’s only November. Whatever happened to last minute shopping? Our Wall marts are will be open 24 hours the last week of December here in the sticks of Alberta. Actually I haven’t bought a thing. But we are planning to pick up a WII for the boy 22, a 9 inch portable DVD player for the Daughter17; she is a Buffy freak with all the box sets so we probably won’t see her for about a week or so, money for my 2 Daughter's over seas, Now for the wife. Well it usually starts off with a few things & ends up with me doing over time for the next 6 month just to pay for the stretch visa bills after I’m finished buying for her :cry. Oh well she a great woman & does deserve it. I was thinking of upgrading her lap top to Vista, a digital picture frame, some nice tops & can’t forget about la senza’s :drool . A cargo net, winter front for her truck (got myself a redneck woman Yee ha) :D, and yes she does have all her teeth :p , a Couple of WII games. That’s it for now but knowing me it’s only the beginning rolleyes .Good luck to you all in your madness racking your brains figuring out what to get everyone.

I can't say what I am getting my wife because she will probably read this thread.
It is something she really wants and thinks that she will have to buy herself.
But if she does read this.........
    Dear Santa,
I would like at least another gig or maybe 2 gigs of RAM (240 pin PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM) or a 1-2 gig MP3 player.

Ahh the Xmass season is here again. The best time of the year to be single! All my friends are WAY over 21, and the family members on my list all like wine, I work at a wine store, get a discount... So you can probably guess what I am getting them. One stop shopping. Heck I don't even have to stop, just pick it up when I get off work one day. :cool

And I think for my own present, maybe a Radeon 3870 video card.

For me - money off debt!
For others - I usually find something spontaneously rather than think about it.

Kids are done, new saddle and some tack for the girl, money for the boy (he's at university so he needs it).

I get a bottle of Tia Maria for Caroline and she gets a bottle of Scotch for me. (as it happens they are doing the both for £18.00 at ASDA (Walmart to the rest of you guys) So everything is tickety boo in our household.

We don't really do Xmas prezzies for each other, we would rather buy what we want when we want it through the year.

    edited for speeling

Down-sizing Christmas this year from the usual spending spree. No where near finished as we have 7 kids, 6 grandkids, 3 siblings and 4 parents to buy for. Nephews and neices not included.

But on our Christmas list this year is tons of fun with family and friends, which is really what it is all about. Gifts can be bought, and when they are gone, they can be bought again. Time with loved and special ones cannot and is therefore priceless, so this year we are giving of our time to be with our American family & friends for Christmas, and our English family & friends for New Year :)

My daughter has a list as long as my arm. She knows I can't get it all but I'll do what I can afford. My mother wants a picture frame, wine glasses and a spot lamp. I'll do that together with a few little extras. My brother and i exchange bottles of whisk(e)y every year. I only drink it between Christmas and New Year even though I love the stuff (too dangerous :drool:drool).
For myself,Christmas is about giving, so I honestly do not care if I get anything myself. My daughter will be at her mother's this year. I have offered my services to the local council as a "helper" on Christmas Day. Mother will be going to her sister's in Sunderland. The siblings are sorted. I will have a a truly traditional Christmas and refuse to gorge myself silly. That's what Christmas is about for me and I find the idea of "list of what I want" idea abhorrent and repugnant. Totally against the "Spirit of Christmas"

My wife likes to shop so she shops for everyone, so I only have to buy for her. I get off easy on that this year, because we're buying ourselves inflatable kayaks after the new year. So for Christmas we're spending about $50.00 each for gift. (I'm hoping she'll double mine to $200.00rolleyes)

I've just started my Christmas 'wish list', (for others), ugh! So much to get through in so little time! I know I'm going to be a lot poorer, (financially), after this lot.

I had bought my wife a new phone, but she has been dropping big hints for 2 weeks about a new digital camera :(
So being the loving husband, I took the phone back and got a refund. Now I have hardly any time to learn about optical zooms and megapixels LOL before rushing out to buy her what she really wanted :D
