Can Anyone Help Me Modify Some Php Code?

I need to get this code to work so I'll be able to embed videos from Metacafe using the forum mod this code is a part of. I've already asked for help on the phpBB forum but no one's responded yet and I'm guessing I'm not gonna get a response.

Right now, if I use this code, all I get from Metacafe is a big, white space. I didn't write the code by the way. I've been told that its author has gone bye bye so I won't be getting any help from him.

EDIT: Uh, well, ****, that wasn't supposed to happen. Seems it embeds fine here on Xenforo. I'm trying to get it to embed on phpBB though. Is there any way I can just show the code without that video?

EDIT: OK. Just pretend where you see the video is just the location of the video. I didn't know videos auto embedded here.
