Scanned For Corrupted Files

Hello Geeks,

Sorry for flooding the forums I just had a day to take care of issues that I have been procrastinating for a while.

So I ran a (sfc /scannow) and got a message say that not all corrupted files could be repaired/replace. I have attached a Log and an Image of the message. If anyone can direct me in a direction that can solve this issue that would be great.

 

Try and narrow it down.
What does the log file say?

 

The log is attached above, there seemed to be a lot of failures. I wanted to now how I can fix those failures. I was hoping that it would fix my Windows Update Errors in the process.

 

I see the attached log file - it's 3.4 MB.

Is a repair installation a possibility?

 

You could try going to the Command Prompt, right click and Run as administrator and run the following command:

• Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

After that finishes, run SFC /SCANNOW and see if there's any change.

So after doing what you suggested I ran the scan again and it found them and successfully repaired all of them, no errors this time. Much appreciated.

On another note, I didn't accomplish what I was hoping this process would solve, which was to fix my Windows Update issue. Some of my Microsoft Office 2013 updates just won't work, whether it be through the application or by manually downloading the KB***** files online.

 

As an added note about using sfc /scannow the MS guide to it shows very clearly how to generate a relatively short and easy to read text document to the desktop ('sfcdetails.txt') so you don't have to even look at the cbs log!
