How Do I Completely Uninstall Internet Explorer?

I never use it, I don't need it, how do I get rid of it? I tried the Microsoft Windows section of View Installed Updates, it's not listed.

 

DavidGP is right, and sometimes trying to dig deep into Windows to try and remove it can cause some serious problems, or Windows to stop functioning completely.

 

I'm not sure about Vista but in XP, if you do anything to IE then updates don't work.
Since Vista gets updates through 2017, I would not try to disable it. You'll miss out on the patches if Microsoft Updates depends on it.
Be sure to install all the IE 10 updates in Vista, even if you never use it; if you don't your system could be compromised even if you never open IE.
