    Hi,
    1. I downloaded a free trial version 5.30 of WinRAR.
    2. When i tried to open the compressed files, i could not open it, and got the message" WinRAR: Diagnostic messages" window open, and there are 3 options: Close, Break Operation and Copy to Clipboard.
Is it a problem with WinRAR? or the files itself? Maybe, i do not have a working WinRAR?
    Any help?
    Thanks

If you can open this then it's the files.

Something's wrong with the files you're trying to open.
Using IZArc I had no problem opening Earthling's example.rar.

It is not a trial version of WinRar. It is Win Rar with TrialPay.
I had to google to see what TrialPay was. Here's what I found
Also, the latest version of WinRar is 5.40, not 5.30.

As Eldon said in post #3 it is likely there is a problem with the file/s you are trying to unzip, if that is what you are trying to do.
Either way it's best if you explain exactly what you are trying to do: unzip something or zip something.

Were you able to open the file I attached to #2 or not?

Back years ago when I used WinRar, I discovered it was extremely picky. I could open a rared file with one version but not another. I grew tired of trying to find a version of WinRar that would open a file. I switched to 7zip and haven't had a problem unraring a file.

Starting again I certainly wouldn't choose WinRAR if I could find another archiver that is as configurable. The user interface has always been an abortion but after all these years I s'pose I can't arsed looking at alternatives ;)

Apart from all its backup configuration features for me the real strength of WinRAR is in its ability to store your backup definitions in profiles which you can then schedule to run automatically. It means your data backups, once defined, can be forgotten about, but they will be there should you need them. I have my data backed up back to 2000.

I don't store data on my computer.

Me neither, the backups go to my NAS.

In that case your WinRAR installation is working normally but the files you are trying to open are either corrupt or possibly encrypted.
