Friends Computer Saying Windows 10 No Peripherals Audio

Any ideas how to fix this.

He had to reinstall windows 10.From a start.

I had asked him to make sure to run virus and malware scans.

Came up clean in the scans.

windows 10 no peripherals audio is coming up on system.I have all ready had him try to update the drivers and it did not seem to work.

The issue i came up with is that the item he was using was going bad.

He was using a set of head phones and that is what the problem was.Could be the same for speakers.

So i told him to switch out he speakers / headphones and every thing worked fine.

But this could be all so a driver issue as well.

I had him update the driver too.
