    Hello.

Every time i restart my laptop the file explorer keeps opening and it's extremely annoying. Nothing appears out of the ordinary in the startup folder or services. Any suggestions?

A corrupt start up registry entry or MALWARE are the main reasons for that.
Using Autoruns is the best mots detailed way to examine start up entries - if you want advice on those entries then post screen shots of them. You might need several screenshots to show all of them clearly.
You might also want to start a malware scanning process too from THIS GUIDE and when you have carried out all the steps attach the required scan logs in a new thread in the Specialist Malware Forum (NOT here).

Hello there Max. I too suspect it being something related to the registry. Before i decided to post to the MajorGeeks forum i in fact ran some checks in search of a possible malware infection. I ran Superantispyware, Malwarebytes Premium, ESET online scanner and McAfee Live Safe....all yielding healthy results. I did download and run "Autoruns", a pretty cool piece of software to say the least. Thanks for informing of this....one for my toolbox. Being that i'm new to Autoruns perhaps you and others can help me determine any potential problem(s) that my be contributing/causing my problem.

    philadelphia,
The screenshots are too small and you've selected Everything. Click the Logon tab and post another screenshot.

I finally resolved my issue concerning the repetitive opening of file explorer after rebooting....it was an adware infection.....specifically a 3 party program called sweetlabs/pokki or something like that. I'll post a copy of the adware results for you guys to have a look at. Thanks you both so much for your time and help....its appreciated!

Very glad that particular issue is resolved. Because malware can hide in all kinds of places, then you might want to complete all the scans in the guide (marked 'THIS GUIDE') that I linked you to in post #2, then attach the scan text logs in a new thread in the 'Specialist' malware forum I linked you to in that same post #2. An expert will then analyse them all and advise you further.

Hello there Max....I ran all the scans according to the guide and posted the logs to the appropriate forum. Seems Rouge Killer found some issues that my pervious scans missed.
