15$ mouse goes crazy

I have a cheap little 15 dollar laser mouse made by GE, it just gsoes crazy like will start going to the copmuters sides and start going crazy, I.E. playing cs I'll look straigh up and start spinning as if I was actually spinning the mouse around.... not dragging it, but spinning it so the cord would wrap around the outside, then all of a sudden it will turn off, the light will be indicating it's on, but it won't respond at all, when I unplug it and plug it back in it works again. My question is besides buying a new one which will come soon, is there any way to fix this, btw it's a laser mouse.

 

This happens to me sometimes too. I also have an optical mouse(USB). The problem normally though, is not actually the mouse. Check the little laser underneath. If there's a hair or something else small there, take it out and it'll likely start working fine.

 

thats the thing though... I thought it was dust or hair, but it sometimes happens when I'm not even touching it, just kind of spazzes, maybe thats all I can expect for 15 dollars?
