3 moniters down :(

I recently seem to be having a problem with moniters my first one just stopped working while i was in the USA the second one blew up just as i put the power cord in and the third one is so old it doesnt have enough pixels to show any image at all :S

These were all non-flatscreen moniters running on a 240v (english) power supply the first two were only about 2 years old and were of high quality

I have now got a new moniter from the store ... What i want to know is ... what is wrong with the second moniter????
