I have an extra 3com SuperStack3 3300 laying around. Can I set it up to act as a router for my internet? As in, can I set it up to take my one IP from my dsl and then enable me to use multiple computers? Some sort of vpn?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated,

It is only a Switch, not a router.

Correct its not gonna work unless you get a router, then hook up from the router a crossover cable to the uplink ports on each 3com stack switch. Then link cables from the regular network ports to each pc.
