I have S&D and when ever I do a scan I find these 5 DSO EXPLOITS, I constantly delete them but they'll be back the next scan?
Does anyone have any suggestions, I would be very happy :)

@Kemper -- Oh - this is a thread in the spyware section -- sorry Kemper (didn't see it)

I read that the DSO Exploits are a "false alarm" and a "weakness" in Spybot. It will keep finding them, I guess, because they're in the system but they must not be a problem.

I have gone into the "advanced setting" of Spybot and gone to the "ignore products" section and FIRST make sure NOTHING is checked. Then, I find the DSO Exploits box and check that. Then Spybot will ignore them and you don't have to worry about "deleting" them ever again or "finding" them again.

As long as you are up to date with Microsoft's Critical updates, you can ignore these and set SpyBot to do the same.

OOPS - yeah, you see, I keep taking that for granted.

If you're smart enought to have found Major Geeks, you're smart enough to keep your Microsoft Critical Update Up-To-Date, right, people?

    Right?
    Right?

    Good, thought so!!

In my experience, many people do not realize there even is such a thing. So let's make it easy.

    Kemper, go here: http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
then click Scan for updates. At a minimum get all of the Critical Updates for your OS. The other updates you may see are up to you.

    chas...you make everything easy :)

Does this have to be another "sticky"? (or maybe it is in one already?)

Ya, I check for Updates on a regular basis. If I can remember correctly the 5 DSO EXPLOITS are Registry Keys in my IE.
My other computer has the same problem with them as well. So I think your right and I will just ignore them for know. ;)

You can set SpyBot to Ignore them in the Advance mode, Settings, Ignore Products area.

Hey, I said that before ;) But I said "advanced settings" -- It's advanced mode

@Kemper. If you don't know how to do this...you open up Spybot and at the top it says
    File Mode Language Help

Click on Mode, then on "advanced"...then keep going.

Yes you did say it before! :) But that was almost 24 hours ago and I had to flush my cache since then. :D
