64 meg vid card ok for 22' monitor??? THX

Looking to get a new monitor for an older tower and wondering if a 64 meg pci video card is enough for a 22 inch monitor.

The system is a 1.4ghz p4 with 1gig of ram.

It's a Visiontech Xtasy. Then there's the mention of Geforce2 mx\mx 400 in the display properties.

BTW, I'm not a gamer, just looking to get a better monitor now that these things have come way down in price.

Native resolution of a 22" moniter is 1680x1050 so it doesn't support it! If you get it then the display on the screen will look either too big or out of shape!

And based on what you posted, it looks as though a 21 is about the biggest I should get running the vid card in my box.

 

I have found that "size" does not matter as long as the built in graphics drivers on your computer are kept up to date
