64bit vista new install// can not format drive

    new machine built from scratch. 1500gig seagate barracuda 7200.11 ST31500341AS. loading vista and it tells me i need to load driver for hard drive. i have searched all over seagate web site and other forums. i loaded the new firmware and no joy. i have tried to find a drive with no success.

    any help? i have never had this many problems with a hard drive before.
