    Hi,

I have just bought a new Athlon 64 system, with an Asus A8N-VM CSM motherboard.
    1. how do I switch off the onboard graphics?

    2. I have a new Sparkle 6600 PCI -Express Graphic card 512 mb. I have only ever fitted AGP Graphic cards, does this one need a power cable and if so where do I connect it on the board? Thanks.

No you shouldnt need a power cable. Im not sure but I think installing a video card automatically disables the onboard graphics. Check your mobo manual.
