I click on the IC icon and it says I have sent 8 trillion packets and counting. I reboot or disconnect, it stays the same. It's killing the rest of the computers on the network connecting to the internet

Well, the counter resets on reboot. If it isn't, its a network card driver problem.

I had an Asus A7V8X that showed 4 trillion packets sent, on a format, clean install.

I formatted twice to make certain.
