A program that searches a website for you?

Is there such a program that lets you type in the site name and then type a word/name you want to find, then goes and finds it in every corner it can find on that site?

 

If you use Fire Fox you can use Edit>>>>Find (or Find Again), enter the word of interest and then you can even "highlight" it.

 

Do a google search for the word or phrase but add site:[sitewebaddress] to the end of the search. This will search the specified site for the word or phrase.

 

I was really hopeful that your method would work, but this only seems to work, partially. It definitely highlights the search word in the returned Google listing of websites that have that word in it, (but I get my search words highlighted anyway, by selecting that option in Google's "Search Options"). But, when I open the specific website listed, it DOESN"T highlight the searched word. In order to get the searched word highlighted, (in IE8, for example), I have to select Edit, Find on this page, and insert the word(s) I'm searching for. THEN they become highlighted.

For example, if my search word is "Tools" and I want to search the home page of MajorGeeks, in Google I typed: Tools site:majorgeeks.com. When I clicked on the Google link that takes me directly to the home page of Major Geeks (www.majorgeeks.com) none of the word "Tools" were highlighted. So, was I doing it wrong? And by the way, when I opened that page in IE8 and then entered the word Tools into "Find on this page," I immediately got 8 results highlighted.
