I am a little curious and therefore asking this question. Once in a while and while browsing, MalwareBytes pops up a little notification in the system tray for a few seconds saying
"Successfully blocked access to a potentially malicious website" and followed by a IP.

What does this really mean? Asking this because I have observed this a few times while browsing trusted sites (at least I think they can be trusted) which I have been using for quite a while. The interesting thing is that on the trusted sites, this notification does not pop up all the time. Only sometimes.

So the questions is that exactly what is it that the site tries to do and which triggers MalwareByte's to block the access :confused

    thnkx :)

It means exactly what it states. A bad address was observed and blocked. This does not necessarily have to be related to the website you are on. Nor does it have to be related to your browser. If you have any instant messenger programs running, or a P2P or torrent download program running, or a program like Skype or similar running, basically anything they could be accessing the internet, it could be due to them.
