A scan i made on Housecall Online Scanner

    I made a scan on Housecall Online scanner, and I believe that everything was deleted but one file. which is:

    Troj Agent.EA

    Its located in C:\WINDOWS\wfax.exe

    Any ideas?

    What OS are you running? Do you have a fax program installed?

    Im using XP. And I dont think i have a fax program installed.

    FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! I SAID TO DO THE STUFF IN THAT LINK AND IF STILL HAVING PROBLEMS AFTERWARDS POST YOUR HIJACK THIS LOG AS AN ATTACHMENT. You could not have run all that stuff yet. And you did not follow directions.

    What do you mean that link doesn't work? It works fine for me! What problem are you having with it?

    You should disable system restore before removing viruses/trojans etc. This is usually one of the first places they go to.

    They don't go there first! They get there when you system makes a system restore point while the problems were in effect on your system. You disable system restore to rremove the restore points that could bring the problems back.

    And yes disabling system restore is important to totally clean up from this kind of problem.
