a64 machine keeps bringing probs...

every few minutes while surfing w/IE IE will lock up the machine or reboot it. Im starting to think maybe the RAM is corrupted? any windows program that i can test the ram?

 

Its happening w/NS also...this isnt any fun

 

just ran memtest and ram is giving 0 errors; anyone have ANY idea wtf is the problem? its driving me nuts

 

try firefox ... ive been using it ... like it alot better than IE(never really did like IE)

you could have spyware ... if not maybe the IE core has gotten corrupt somehow,or active x is acting up ... maybe it's a problem with your NIC? or the driver or your connection ... just a few ideas i can think of

 

Agree with Pyrate, first check for spyware. You could use Webroot's free scan at webroot.com. Have found some particularly nasty spyware, I have had to remove in the last 3-4 weeks.

 

its a fresh copy of wxp and did all my spyware runs. also reinstalled IE. NS= netscape

 

well it just stalled on Halo main screen after installing im really going nutty. I need help narrowing this retarded problem down. (now it stalled on login screen.)
