About:Blank Removal from Google Chrome...?

Hey all,

I've got a laptop and every time I try to load anything in Google Chrome, it gets redirected to an "about:blank" page with nothing on it. I see the actual page for a few seconds when I first go there, then it quickly redirects to "About:blank".

I know it's malware, but malware scans with Malwarebytes so far, apparently haven't removed it. There's an extension in Chrome that I know is causing the problem called "1" but every time I uninstall it, it immediately comes back once I restart Chrome or the computer....?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for the reply! I know it's the first step, I had just done it first before I did / posted scans for the others as that's always been the norm on the other boards I've posted on

That being said, I MAY have just solved it before you posted. I'm in a bit of a time crunch to get this machine back to the lady to whom it belongs, so I went ahead and ran HitManPro on it...seems to not be redirecting anymore! Running the HitManPro scan and others again, and doing a few restarts to make sure, but cross your fingers...if so, I'll be marking this thread solved in a few minutes, hopefully!
