I have: Acer Aspire X1200 desktop - think it's 3 yrs old. Last week I clicked to install my Windows updates, and hit install updates and shut-down. First of all I rarely ever shut it down - didn't mean to choose that but okay no big deal - went out for awhile - didn't see it install and shut down. Came home - hit power button - NOTHING. No sounds, no lights blinking around. Appears to have NO power. It is plugged into a surge protector, I tried a different one with no luck. I have tried a different power supply cord - nothing. I went onto Acers Support FAQ's which actually list this problem and tried their fix: Unplug from back of unit - hold power button for 30 seconds then plug back in and turn on. Does not do anything. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

    Replace the power supply.

Forgive my ignorance - do you mean something other than the cord?
