Acer drivers empty

    ok guys how this happened have nom idea,downloading items to fix another computer ,I lost all info in the device manager empty.no wonder it will not connect to internet in wireless mode,also no sound,like I said device manager is empty. it is an Acer Aspire with an intel Atom ,running microsoft windows xp home edition version 2002 with servicepack 3,Acer-E817, is there a way to get it back?

    Will this PC still boot ok?

    But its likely you have rebooted by now, so is this PC now ok or still hase the issues you mentioned in your original post?

    If it can still boot ok, then try this and open Services up (found in Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services) and make sure the Plug and Play service is started and then set to StartupType ~ Automatic and then reboot and check Device Manager


    Also did you plug any USB pen drive into this PC, that may have been plugged into your one as mentioned in the malware thread HERE (very outside chance that this one now has malware also).

    Try also booting into Safe Mode and see if the Device Manager list, lists the devices.

    Thanks went in service.msc all was disabled , copied settings from desk top set as it was there and working again . Thanks again
