Acer M1640 Vista freezing on boot

    Hi guys!! Got an Acer M1640 desktop thats freezing on boot? Tried re-seating the RAM, reset the CMOS and pulled the HDD out and cleaned it of a few virus's. I've tried Alt f10 and booting from a Vista CD But it still won't go past the loading splash screen.,
    Safe mode stops on Loaded: \windows\system32\drivers\disk.sys
    Any ideas as I'm out! :confused

    Tried Last Known Good Configuration?
    I'm thinking that if it did not freeze before you cleaned up the virii, you might have removed something essential.

    plodr it was freezing before I removed the virus's and freezes on LKGC the same.

    thisisu I'll have a check in the light tomorrow.
