Adaware/McAfee Incompatibily Issues

Hi Guys,

Long time reader, first time poster.

I am trying to install McAfee Total Protection 2007 on my PC. However, very early on during installation McAfee barfs and wont install the VirusScan element as it tells me I have Ad-Aware SE Plus on my PC. I uninstalled it but McAfee still whines. I've looked everywhere on the PC and can't find anything relating to Ad-Aware. I'm aware there is a known issue with Ad-Aware/McAfee but I can't find a way of getting Ad-Aware off my PC.

What I want to do is get rid of Ad-Aware completely so I can fully run McAfee.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
