I have just uninstalled Norton and installed AVG it's great but it doesn't have the adblocking feature that norton had.

    Is there a freeware Adblocker?

If you have WinXP, be sure you have Service Pack 2 and all other security updates. The best free protection would be Windows Defender, I don't trust lame third party applications to protect my system, I use applications from someone who knows their software not just someone who wants to make a profit.

    Hi Funky,

    Try googling for Privoxy.

Sorry i should have been more clear, the feature i had on Norton stoped all banner ads on all web pages.

I installed Windows Defender anyway because BJGarrick has never given me bad advice and I'm sure that Windows Defender will help me with alot of other issues.
