I recently added another 1g Corsair RAM to my computer, in addition to the 2 512 PNY PC3200DDR ram I had in slot 1 and 2. This however, did not improve my preformance, instead slows it down majorly. I was able to run some games consistantly on 60fps, now it drops down to 30fps. Is this due to synchronization issue between the RAMS? When I ran CPUZ, fsb:dram ration is 4:5. Here are my specs
    Board: Intel Corporation D865PERL AAC27648-208
    Bus Clock: 133 megahertz
    BIOS: Intel Corp. RL86510A.86A.0061.P09.0308281850 08/28/2003
    Memory Frequency: 166.2MHz

I knows the mixing of different ram is bad remove your 2 512 PNY PC3200DDR ram and check only the new ram if your game come back to 60fps. if yes then you have maybe to buy anothers 1g Corsair RAM.....
