Okay I know this is almost certainly impossible but I've been asked to find out about it so meh.

Is it or is it not possible to get some device that can plug into a wired router, say a Draytek Vigor 2600 :p, and add wireless capability?

of course if there isn't I can just say "not possible" *grins*
