For a couple of weeks I have been getting adf.ly webpages popping up when I initialise Chrome browser or open a new tab. In about four seconds it lets me skip the adverts it shows and go on to the page I wanted. I have run everything as requested and have the logs here.
The TDSS txt when I am trying to upload it is saying it is empty and won't attach.
The MG Tools process got to "Running analyse.exe" and hung for about 35 mins before exiting.

I have not re run these two processes as instructed.

Please see the instructions! You need to double click on the Agree button for the license. You probably did not notice the popup window because it does not pop to the top. Close down all other applications ( even your browser windows ) and you should see it. Until you click the Agree button ( twice - yes twice ) it does not continue.

I'm sorry. I must have missed it. Please find attached the MGlogs.rar file.

Nothing is really showing in your logs. You must just have an addon for Chrome that is causing you issues with adF.ly

I suggest that you just give the below a try to see if it helps.

    Reset Chrome to Defaults

    Let me know the results.

It's good to know there's nothing suspicious in the logs. Always good to have an MOT. I have opened a few pages and tabs and the adf.ly page hasn't appeared. I will keep an eye on it but it looks like it has disappeared. Thanks very much for your help. Hope you are having a nice holiday and you're not having to work too hard.

You're welcome. And thanks! Holiday Season has been great thus far. How about yours?

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
