Hello all. I have never accessed the user acct. named "Administrator". I must have disabled it when I first set up this pc. I'm using XP home sp2. I have an acct. in "My Name", and one named "Guest". The My Name acct has administrator privileges. I tried typing in Administrator at the log in screen, but got an error. Is there a way to re-enable this user acct. so it shows up on the log-in screen? I've been reading that it is a security risk if the acct. does not have a password

    Hi

As you have XP Home the named Admin account is only accessable via Safe Mode, you can force XP Home to show the Admin account to show on the Welcome screen but its not accessable via Normal Mode,
