    Hi,

I have recently been having problems while logging into win 8.1. After I type in my password the screen goes black for a couple of seconds before putting me on the start screen. This started after I installed the Oculus Rift DK2 software (for the second time, I used it before and it was fine). It gave me problems with the orientation of the screen first, in settings It would not let me have the screen in Landscape mode, but was stuck in Fliped landscape. And my graphics card driver was disabled. I fixed it by reinstalling the Oculus and graphics drivers and I used the DVI port instead of the HDMI port for the oculus. But the log in issue stayed.

I looked trough my programs and noticed ADVANCED PERFORMANCE PLATFORM CASHTITAN. - when I try to uninstall it gives me pop up asking to type in a code for it to uninstall to which I just click cancel.

I don't know if the two are related, but that unknown program is looking like Malware.

I went trough your tutorial for removing Malware and the logs are below.

Please help and thank you in advance!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!
It is very normal to have a delay at this time while all programs that load at startup hook themselves into the startup processes before Windows Explorer loads the shell and your Desktop. Protection software can greatly increase the time delay. How long of a delay can be based on all the software programs that you are running?

Your log from MGtools is extremely incomplete. So either you did not wait for it to tell you it was finished or the must have been a problem running it? Did you notice any problems? We will get started without it and will ask to get a new log down below with different instructions.

Please download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.
    • Run OTM.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7 or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).
    • Copy the lines from the below codebox to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C
(or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy): Do not include the word Code: which is just a title line of
      the code box
    Code:

    :Commands
    [purity]
    [EmptyTemp]
    [start explorer]
    [Reboot]
    • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar
      ) and choose Paste.
    • Now click the large [IMG] button.
    • If OTM asks to reboot your computer, allow it to do so. The report should appear in Notepad after the reboot.
    • Close OTM.
Now navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder ( assuming your Windows drive is C). This is where your log will be
saved in the form of Date and Time mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log. Just look for the most recent .log file. Attach
this log file to your next message.

Now please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Note: That JRT may reset your home page to a google default so you will need to restore your home page setting if this happens.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.
Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7 or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles log
    • the JRT.TXT log
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

    Hi Chaslang,

First of all thank you very much for your help!

I did the OTM removal and the Advanced Performance Platform Cashtitan was still in my programs list but when I clicked uninstall it sayed that it is not installed anymore and if I want to remove it from the list, so job done!

However I still have a black out at system login, and it's for 26 seconds. I even noticed that my PC (prior to the OTM removal) powered down before booting up windows. Then I just push the power button again and it works.

I used the MGtool with admin and it worked this time so the log is in the attachment.

    Thanks again!

This is probably not due to malware but there is a little more cleaning to do so we will see. It is more likely due to all the stuff you run at startup. Including uTorrent, Steam and maybe even the illegal KMSpico activator you are running. And I also see illegal Adobe activation. See the below:

Okay we have another fix to do with OTM now that we have a full log from MGtools.
