advanced system optimizer 3 nightmare

hi everyone, I recently bought this software : advanced system optimizer version 3 (pro version). I only used the drivers update option. it found me 10 update wich was 7 more than any other drivers update software so I went on with it. when I reboot nothing worked. the police on my computer was unreadable, I coudn't access internet in any ways and most of all my usb ports doesn't work at all. now before reformating I need a way to save some file. I'm in my end of semester in law degree and my last exam is friday. how can I fix this without internet and usb key if I want to reinstall my old drivers or save my files... help please!!!

 

sorry but I can I roll back drivers without internet and usb key. the windows rollback driver doesn't work. quite a challenge. please guys..

 

What is your OS and have you tried a system restore to before you installed ASO !

 

my os is windows xp media center 2005 and I haven't did a system restore before installing ASO... what's next..

I think what rustyjack is leading to is that there should be at least one good restore point available, regardless if you created one...try booting into Safe Mode, and see if you have a 'last good configuration' listed...

 

yeah I did select last good configuration that worked 4 times in the f8 menu

 

Am I correct in assuming that when you booted to a known good config, this did not solve your problem?
