Advice on switchs.

I currently have one machine with another in transit to me. Possibly a third one before long.
All will be connected to a router so they can be online at the same time for folding for the team.
I need advice about a switch I recall reading about. Don't recall what it was called, but multiple machines could be used with one monitor and one keyboard.
Can anybody steer me in the right shopping direction?

 

those are KVM's. check around on newegg and whatnot, youll find tons of them to choose from.

 

yup make sure you get ones with the right sex plugs. I have made the mistake in the past of purchasing the wrong ones
